Liver Cleansing

Our liver is the largest internal organ and has over 300 functions that science has documented.It is my opinion that there are many other jobs as yet undiscovered that this organ manages. It is important to note that one of the major functions is to help metabolize sugar as well as keep the hormones in balance. Endocrine function affects al other functions of the body. It is of vital importance to cleanse the liver regularly to enhance these activities. Think of our liver as a large filter. The blood is sent there for filtration and processing from all over the body. Then it is delivered to our heart for the major circulation. If the liver is weak or full of toxins, then the body will feel week and toxic. There are many books and articles that extol the virtues of liver cleansing. Most of them are quite harsh and require extreme measures. We've experimented over the years and found the following protocol to be the least aggressive and most effective. Remember to take a few days off so that you may rest while doing a liver cleanse. The body needs this extra relaxation to rejuvenate and repair at the cellular level.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO STOP YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS MEDICATIONS TO PERFORM THIS CLEANSE. YOU MAY NOT BE A CANDIDATE FOR THIS PROCEDURE IF YOU TAKE MORE THAN ONE DAILY MEDICATION. ASK YOUR DOCTOR.  Be brave, make sure you have the support of a coach like your colon hydrotherapist and take things SLOWLY!!


Gas? Why so Much?

Very often its not what we eat but what's eating us!Inadequate chewing.... proper chewing necessary for carbohydrates in particular (amylase only present in saliva). We have no teeth in the stomach!!Eating cold foods-nothing leaves the stomach until it reaches 98.6 degrees.  The stomach is likean oven and as food sits and cooks it ferments. Drink warm water with lemon or warm tea before eating, especially an animal flesh meal.Drinking carbonated beverages-literally drinking gas!Improper food combining (a) fruits & sweets, always eat alone (b) eat proteins with vegetables (c) eat starch with vegetables-DESSERTS ARE A DISASTER!

Chewing gum & talking while you eat-inadequate chewing and swallowing air.Never eat when upset about anything-maybe just some warm liquids / soupLow HCL levels in stomach (a cup of water with lemon raises HCL naturally)Using antacids like Tums or Rolaids will diminish stomach acid, which is vital to the digestive process. Most people who feel they need these drugs actually have too little acid to break down the foods properly. The foods sit too long in the stomach as it tries to create more digestive juices, fermentation occurs, acid reflux can result. This can lead to GERD (gastro esophageal-reflux-disease), which means that the stomach acids go up into the esophageous and burn that delicate tissue. If one has these symptoms more than once per week, they must eat smaller meals more often, use the warm water w/lemon before meals, stop eating 4-5 hours prior to sleeping, handle their emotional issues and eliminate the foods.


Laxatives

BECAUSE...

1. They irritate the entire digestive tract.

2. They upset the ph of the stomach and digestive process.

3. They artificially stimulate peristalsis.

4. They aggravate the nervous systems.

5. They cause cramping and discomfort.

6. They are unpredictable.

7. They may give instant relief, but potential long term damage to the lining of the digestive

system.

8. They cause dehydration since they move the chyme through too quickly interrupt water

absorption to cells.

9. They create a vicious cycle of diarrhea / constipation / diarrhea / constipation / diarrhea /

constipation.

10. They cause weakness in the colon muscles and potential ballooning and strictures.

11. Long term use can reduce muscle tone and the colon become distorted.

12. They cause excess mucous build up to protect and shield the colon from the irritation.
